Kilimanjaro Safari Layout

I haven't scrapped photos from our trips to Disney World in about 2 years. This particular layout was from our trip in February 2014. I created this layout for a class I was teaching at my local scrapbook store back in 2019. I struggle with 2-page layouts so this one was a challenge for me, but I was happy with how it turned out. I wanted the photos to be the focal point of the layout so I used a subtle faux burlap printed paper. I added small touches of embellishments to enhance the pages.

Here is an up close view of the small cluster of embellishment located on the left side of the layout. I wanted different textures on this layout so I pulled out different embellishments from my stash to create this cluster. I used my We R Memory Keepers typewriter to type up the journaling. I tucked in some greens that were die cut from coordinating cardstock, a film strip with animal print inserts, and a burlap tag from my stash. I added a Mickey head, wood veneer camera and a tiny paper clip to finish the cluster.

I wanted to include this post card from Graphic 45's Safari Adventure Collection because I love the vintage look of the design. A small cluster of flowers and greens were added to the  bottom right hand corner of the post card.

My Silhouette Cameo and some brown cardstock were used to create the animal print border.

Once again I used my Silhouette Cameo. This time I used it to make the title for the layout.
