Tulip Birthday Cards

Tulips are my favorite flower. I've loved them since I was a small child. My mom had a small patch of tulips in our backyard when I was a little girl. That's where my love of tulips began. I remember watering them with my little metal sprinkling can and bringing a small bouquet of tulips and lilacs to my teacher when I was in kindergarten. The Altenew Tulip Craft-a-Flower die set that I used to make these cards is amazing! You can use it to make beautiful tulips from colored cardstock. I decided to use shades of purple, pink, and yellow to make 3 birthday cards using the die set. I'm really pleased with how these cards turned out. I was hesitant to purchase the die set because it was a little pricey, but I decided to splurge on it because it's my favorite flower and I know I will use it on lots of cards and projects.

Here I am as a 3 year old watering my mom's tulips.

I opted for an embossed background because I wanted a lot of texture on this card. The purple, pink, and yellow tulips really pop against the stark white background.

I used a Tim Holtz Crochet die to cut a green border that I used to mimic grass. A Lawn Fawn Happy Birthday sentiment stamp was used to complete each card.
