Give Thanks Burlap Panel

Fall is my favorite season. I enjoy the cooler temperatures, but I especially love the various shades of yellow, orange, red, purple and brown as the leaves change color during the fall season. I live in Wisconsin, so my family gets to enjoy the 4 different seasons in their full glory!

This piece is a celebration of fall and Thanksgiving. The majority of this fall burlap decor piece was made with Authentique papers, Tim Holtz dies and cardstock. I was very happy with how it turned out. I purchased an easel so it could be displayed in my living room.

Keep reading if you'd like to see more photos of this piece as well as additional details and a supply list!

Here is a close-up look at the upper left hand corner of the piece. You can see the different layers I created with the Authentique Pleasant paper collection. I used adhesive foam dots & adhesive foam tape to attach some of the papers to the piece to create dimension.

A Skeleton Leaves die set & a Fall Foliage die set both from Tim Holtz were used to create the beautiful fall leaves. I also added 3 mini paper sunflowers and natural moss to add even more texture and dimension to the piece. Collage Medium was used to adhere the leaves, flowers and moss to the piece.

This is a close-up view of the bottom right hand corner of the piece. Once again I used Tim Holtz dies to create the fall leaves. I created a cluster with the leaves, a mini paper sunflower, a wood veneer piece with the word family stamped on it, a pumpkin that I fussy cut from the Authentique paper collection and natural moss. A twine bow was added to the cluster because I thought it needed something to balance the bottom corner. Collage Medium was used to adhere them to the piece. Voila! A beautiful fall decor piece made with a burlap panel, some paper and dies.

I also made a card version of it for a friend of mine. I mailed it in a padded envelope because I didn't want it to get damaged. Here is a photo of the card:
