Happy Halloween Scrapbook Layout

My daughter was a pink poodle for Halloween 2005. I sat on those photos for years waiting for the perfect Halloween scrapbook paper to come along that included pink in the color story. The Simple Stories Happy Haunting Collection was the perfect paper to scrap those photos. The papers and embellishments have pink in the color scheme along with the traditional orange and black Halloween colors. It also doesn't hurt that the embellishments are super cute!

Keep reading for more photos and details on how I made this layout

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut a spider web. I love my Silhouette. Images can be resized to fit any project.

I also like to include sewing machine stitching on my layouts. It adds texture and interest to a layout.

My favorite thing on this layout (besides the adorable photo of my daughter!) is the cluster of stickers, chipboard pieces and crepe paper border. I love to cluster embellishments on my layouts. They add a really nice element to a layout.

I love the crepe paper border on the bottom of the layout. I made it by sewing together 2 strips each of orange and black crepe paper. A Martha Stewart fringe scissors was used to create the fringe. You can use a regular scissors to cut the fringe, but a fringe scissors makes it so much easier to make the cuts.

I attached 2 bats using adhesive foam dots to complete the layout. I bent up the wings so they look like they are flying off the page.

I love how this layout turned out. It makes me a little bit sentimental for the days when my daughter dressed up for Halloween. I hope my layout inspires you to pull out your Halloween scrapbook supplies and photos!
