Halloween Stacked Coffins

I made this Halloween stacked coffin piece after being inspired by a blog post by Sarah R. I went into my Halloween stash and pulled out things that I thought would look cool on the coffins. A skeleton, skulls, bones and pumpkins definitely needed a spot on this piece! Since Authentique always makes the best Halloween papers, I decided to cover the coffins using a combination of their Mysterious and Moonlit collections. The skeleton paper is perfect for a coffin! I absolutely had a blast making this piece!

Keep reading if you'd like to see more photos of this piece as well as additional details!

This is the back side of the piece. I covered the 3 stacked coffins with papers from Authentique's Mysterious and Moonlit collections.

I inked the edges with black soot Distress Oxide Ink.

Here are the side views of the coffins. They won't tip over if you angle them just right.

This photo gives you a better idea of the placement of the items on each of the coffins.

I made the polka dot flower using a Graphic 45 flower die and Authentique paper. I put a dab of Distress Collage Medium in the center of the flower and sprinkled some tiny black seed beads in the center of it. I rubbed walnut Distress Crayons on the pumpkin and topped it with some green moss. A black soot Distress Crayon was rubbed onto the bones and skeleton cameo brooch.

I placed another handmade flower inside the left side of the top coffin along with a paper black rose, a vial, pumpkin and a Tim Holtz rest in peace small talk sticker.

The second row has a pumpkin, Tim Holtz metal spider that I painted black, another pumpkin and 2 skulls stacked on top of each other.

A skull, spider, pumpkin and Beware token were placed on the far right side of the bottom coffin.

Don't worry if you don't have all of the items I used on this piece. You can use whatever Halloween items you have in your stash to customize your own stacked coffin piece. Just have fun with it!
