Baby's First 4th of July Card

I entered this card into Jaded Blossom's July Red, White, Blue Color Challenge.

I wanted to think outside the box to make a card for this challenge. Then it came to me....A baby's first 4th of July card! I used the Americana paper collection from Pebbles for the clothes. The tiny patterns worked perfectly to make the baby clothes. A Park Lane star embossing folder was used to make the star background. The embossed stars add interest and dimension to the background without overpowering the card. I love how the red frame and pattened papers pop against the stark white background. I die cut 4 layers of the word celebrate out of star paper. The 4 layers were glued together to add dimension to the word. I typed "Baby's First 4th of July" in Word and printed it on cardstock. I use Word quite often to type up sentiments. It's a great way to customize your cards. I hope you enjoy my  red, white & blue card!
